This month has been mild too, although the back half of March has been cooler. One or two frosty nights have pushed seeds into germinating, so there is usually something that has germinated daily showing green spikes in the morning. March has been very windy and Daffodils have been the main casualty, getting snapped off at the base. I have them in a jam jar, as my one and only vase got broken.
Plant growth is surging ahead now, and it is great to see new flowers opening daily. One amazing find was Nonea lutea. I have been trying to grow this plant off and on for some years. Composted seeds obviously work as they germinated the back end of ast year, after sitting in a bag for a year, then the compost being spread over the flowerbed early last year. Easy germination this way it seems!
